In my style search, a bag, I have found, can change everything. A necklace can become the statement piece for an entire look. Given all of this, here are six accessories that can change everything in an outfit (oh boy did this post take a hot minute to put together haha).

Kicking this off is 3 different bags, the first is a classic black shoulder tote bag. I know what you’re thinking, and your point? This is a classic piece that can go with almost everything from a casual pair of jeans to a work outfit. Versatility = easy outfits to put together. I do like that there is a small portion of gold metal details to fancify the bag (is fancify even a word, Merriam-Webster says it is…) but I have noticed that the bag does make an odd squeaky sound? I’m assuming it’s something that’s loose in the gold metal, so if squeaky sounds drive you crazy this may not be the bag for you.

Jacquard patterned bag! I’m seeing a lot of this square style of bag and so far, this bag has been a fun transitional piece for winter to spring. The material is a nice thick jacquard weave, and the pattern is very sharp and vibrant. Personally, I’ve used this for a few all black or light tan work outfits, but I’m crazy excited to use this for when I go work on writing at the library in the summer. On the opposite side of the color spectrum is the lighter version. This is great for light/beige outfits, but so far, I plan to use it more this spring and summer.

The final bag is a black crossbody bag. I think the best standout feature about this bag is the weave style, which is a very popular look for spring and summer nowadays. I will say I thought this bag would be heavier, but it’s very light weight (the weave isn’t just wood strips, it’s fabric as well). Overall, when I feel like going with neutral tone outfits this would work out great to maybe be a statement piece. One thing I’m not a hundred percent into is the top flap of the bag does rest at a slight diagonal, as if it was squished a little. Given that, the material of the bag probably is not the sturdiest quality.

Now onto accessories, to start there is this lovely pearl drop necklace (similar). It looks like it could be very expensive, but the price is pretty reasonable for something so pretty. The pearl has a nice shine, the chain clasp feels pretty sturdy, and the cubic zirconia has a good clarity to it. Next is this square watch. I have shown this watch before, but I wanted to do a post that’s focused on it a little more. It’s adjustable (my wrist is so tiny, you can’t imagine), and the square face lays nicely on my wrist. I think the face is so elegant, especially the mother of pearl shine. Lastly, I have some pearl drop earrings (I like pearls what can I say?). My ears are not pierced (gasp!) but these were very easy to convert. The pearls drop at a good length and have a good glimmer.

Woah, that was a long post. I plan to do spring outfits soon, featuring these accessories, so there’s that. Are there any types of accessories you think that can really change a look?
