A Burgundy Cropped Coat

Denim jeans, tennis shoes, black crossbody bag, white t-shirt, gold earrings, cropped coat

We’re diving into burgundy today! Overall, the outfit is plain. I’ve got a classic fitted white t-shirt. My H&M one that is shown finally had to be cut up for cleaning rags! I’ve been wearing this white ribbed tee from Aritzia and I’ve been pretty impressed. I’ve worn it almost every week for close to 3 months now. It’s not fading, it’s not warping at the neck. It’s decently thick, so not see-through. I will say my regular size extra small would be too tight for my liking, so I went up to a medium.

My favorite Abercrombie straight leg jeans are still going strong as well. I don’t dry them as often though, they have become a little snugger, so I’ve been leaving them to dry flat. With this is my Adidas Sambas. I wear the children size 3.0 Samba, but here is the adult size Samba as well. Other accessories include my usual black crossbody bag (similar in leather), and silver metal drop earrings.

The burgundy cropped coat (similar) is the main piece to this outfit. I hadn’t really thought too much about cropped coats as an option for me, even though I am exceptionally short, so a long coat doesn’t always work. I think I thought the cropped style would maybe make me look short since it cuts off around my waist. But I love this coat. I think if you’re like me and are unsure about a cropped coat, you need to find it in a color you love. This burgundy really stood out to me, and I instantly knew what outfits I could make with this in fall, winter, and even spring.

The coat is soft but has some actual weight to it. I haven’t washed it yet, but I will try to remember to update this post with how that goes. The buttons are a nice size, and the fit is amazing (Aww the wonders of petite sizing). Need I say more?
